ERIC C. CAREN has been
collecting rare newspapers and other historical items for over 3 decades.
He is the proprietor of The Caren Archive, Inc. specializing in historical
paper and photography. Widely recognized as one of the foremost experts
in the field of American historical paper, he is a consultant to the
Freedom Forum NEWSEUM (presently being built near the Smithsonian Institution
in Washington, DC) and is a former director of the Ephemera Society
of America. He is a member of the American Antiquarian Society and is
the author of 9 books published by Castle Books- the "Historical
Newspaper - Extra" Series. He is a partner in STEPHEN A. GOLDMAN
HISTORICAL NEWSPAPERS (SAGHN), a business devoted to the buying and
selling of original rare and historical newspapers (16th-21st century).
SAGHN sells on Ebay ( seller ID: QRST ) as well as upon request by individuals
or institutions. Mr. Caren is also a partner in OLDNEWS, INC. a company
that produces postcards, newspaper reprints, T-Shirts, rental images
and other products featuring rare and graphic newspaper images from
that 6 century time frame. |
STEPHEN A. GOLDMAN is a Periodontist who has
been a serious collector of rare and early newspapers for over 30 years.
He is a consultant to the NEWSEUM (formerly located in Arlington, VA
and presently constructing their enlarged news museum in Washington,
DC). He is a member of the American Antiquarian Society in Worcester,
MA and is the author or co-author of several books that use newspaper
front pages to tell the story of a particular theme (Titanic disaster
, Wild West outlaws). He was for 7 years the author of a column on historical
newspapers for the publication: "Collectible Newspapers."
In 1996 he founded STEPHEN A. GOLDMAN HISTORICAL NEWSPAPERS, a company
that sells historically significant original newspapers spanning 6 centuries
of human history. He is a partner in OLDNEWS, INC. which produces postcards,
newspaper reprints, T-shirts, rental images and other products featuring
rare and graphic newspaper images spanning that same 6 century time
