Andrew Jackson's victory there, including details of troop movements. The dispatch is dated Jan. 1 and the battle took place one week later.   $26

END OF WAR OF 1812 - New York Spectator Feb. 15, 1815- P.4 "EXTRA- GLORIOUS NEWS/ A Treaty of Peace Was Signed by American and British Commissioners at Ghent..."  Lots in this issue on the Treaty of Peace ending the War as well as many column inches on Andrew Jackson's victory over the British in the Battle of New Orleans. FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR - London Chronicle Oct. 30, 1759- P. 6 Postscript letter in which he says: "We are now in possession of all French trade in North America."  Highlight is on P.1 with Proclamation by George III on : "A  proclamation for...Thanksgiving...for the defeat of the French Army in Canada and the taking of Quebec..." This of course was the defeat of French Gen. Montcalm by English Gen. Wolfe which established English dominion over the New World at that time.   $54
