VERY EARLY AVIATION - Chicago Inter Ocean IL Sept. 6, 1903-P.1 col. 1 article headlined: "LANGLEY AIRSHIP IS TIED UP FOR REPAIRS/ Accident of  Friday Will Prevent Further Test of Machine for Several Days."  Up until 1942, the Smithsonian had insisted that Langleys machine was the first successful lighter -than- air craft, even though it failed to actually  fly. This was a rare FP report of this event.   $47
